Colourpop Haul

Happy Monday, everyone!

I know I just posted about my Colourpop highlighter collection recently, but I recently placed another order from them as I couldn't resist the incredible sales they were having! I was good and kept my order fairly small, but I wanted to share my first impressions of the products with you guys before I do a more thorough review in the future.

Colourpop Palette: I was over the moon when I saw that Colourpop is now offering their own magnetic palettes for only $7! I've found that the palettes I've gotten when I purchased 4 shadows are a bit clunky, so I've wanted an empty magnetic palette for my pressed shadows for some time now. This palette is a bit small - it can fit about 12 shadows comfortably. It feels sturdy, the shadow pans are easily attracted to the magnetic base, and the design looks quite sleek. Overall I'm impressed considering it was only $7!

Pressed Powder Shadow in Pinky Promise: I let my boyfriend pick out a pressed shadow shade and I'm so glad that this was his choice! It is the most gorgeous burgundy wine shade with tons of silver shimmer. I wore it the other day on my lid and it looked stunning. I can't wait to play with it as a foiled shadow!

Super Shock Shadow in Birthday Girl: This was a freebie for Colourpop's birthday month and it's such a stunner! It's a light, pink-toned champagne shade that is PACKED with coarse silver glitter. The amount of glitter in this shadow reminds me a lot of the Stila Magnificent Metal eyeshadows, but this is in the classic creamy texture that is characteristic of the Super Shock Shadows. As usual, it applies much smoother using your fingers rather than a brush. I also love the limited edition sky blue packaging that this shadow came in.

Lippie Pencil in Lumiere: I've heard so many rave reviews of the Colourpop lip liners, so I figured it was the perfect opportunity to test them out when I noticed that Lumiere was on sale for $4! I haven't used it yet to determine how it affects the wear of my lipsticks, but I was pleasantly surprised upon swatching it. The texture was so smooth and creamy and didn't skip on my skin like some true pencil liners have the tendency to do. Lumiere is a gorgeous medium-toned mauve shade that will be super versatile with a variety of nude and pink lipstick shades. I cannot wait to try this out!

Overall, I am so thrilled upon initial inspection of the goodies I picked up! Colourpop never ceases to amaze me and it seems that they've nailed it once again. Look out for a more thorough review of some of these products in the future!
