Five Products Worth the Splurge

Happy Monday, everyone!

Today is my 22nd birthday! I can't believe it has already snuck up on me and that year 21 passed by so quickly. Birthdays aren't quite as exciting after your 21st here in the US, but I am still excited to have myself a mini celebration today.

In honor of my birthday, I thought it would be fun to do a post on five high-end products that I believe are worth the splurge. It's not often that I spend a lot of money on myself, but in the wise words of Donna and Tom on Parks & Rec - treat yo' self!

Becca Backlight Priming Filter: This is the most stunning primer I've ever used as it brings a soft, diffused radiance to my skin. My face has that "glow from within" look every time I use this, making my skin look a lot healthier than it actually is. This is probably not the best primer for those with oily skin as it does make your face look quite dewy, but if you have dry skin like me this is a godsend!

Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation: I stand by my countless praises of this foundation that I've posted on the blog before. This remains my favorite high end foundation! It looks so natural on the skin while somehow maintaining medium coverage. Similar to the Becca primer, the Naked Skin foundation truly makes my skin look like its glowing. If you're a fan of achieving dewy, healthy looking skin, this foundation is unbeatable.

Tarte Shape Tape Concealer: You've likely heard this concealer raved about by countless beauty gurus and bloggers alike, but I'm here to tell you that the hype is absolutely real for this concealer! It's so creamy and effortlessly covers any blemishes, dark circles, or uneven pigmentation. The best part is, it has never once creased on me. That includes using it on my wrinkly undereye area! I don't know what magic they added to this formula, but it is worth every penny.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette: My boyfriend gifted me this palette for my 21st birthday last year and I've been using it religiously ever since then. The color selection in this palette alone is enough to make it a favorite for me, but the consistency of the shadows makes it that much better. Every single shade, mattes and shimmers alike, blend beautifully. The shades all incredibly pigmented and easy to combine to create countless numbers of looks with. I know that this is another product that's often hyped up in the beauty community, but there are legitimately no drawbacks to this palette whatsoever. It remains proudly displayed on my vanity every single day!

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick: This is my absolute favorite bullet lipstick formula. Ever. Bite's Amuse Bouche lipsticks are insanely creamy and sit like a fluffy cloud on top of your lips. They're not at all sticky but also not at all drying. There are also so many unique color options for this formula that all knock it out of the park. They are also super pigmented on one swipe, never skip on the lips, and are never patchy. If you haven't tried this formula yet, you are seriously missing out!
